Governor Kim Reynolds and Lt Governor Adam Gregg stopped in Osceola County on Tuesday, August 13th to visit the new CFE feed mill in Ocheyedan.
CFE CEO Rob Jacobs and Vice President of Feed Steve Peterson hosted Governor Reynolds and Lt Governor Gregg at their main office in Ocheyedan to start the visit. Alongside Osceola County Supervisors and Osceola County EDC board members, Jacobs gave an overview of CFE’s operations and the new state-of-the-art feed mill. Governor Reynolds provided info on her Future Ready Iowa initiative and its mission to strengthen Iowa’s workforce.
Governor Reynolds and Lt Governor Gregg were then given a tour of the new CFE feed mill. The new mill opened earlier this spring, and created 19 new jobs in addition to retaining 10. The mill runs 18 hours a day and is a $25 million project. The mill’s capacity is 3000 tons per day.
